1.    How do I register for SUPERCOMM 2009 and what credentials do I need for press/analyst registration?

All press and analysts are able to register online. To qualify for a press registration, press and analysts need to submit their valid credentials and be approved by the SUPERCOMM PR team. Press registration is currently open.

2.    What are valid types of credentials for press/analyst registration?

In order to qualify for press/analyst registration, you will need to provide one of the following (depending on your position):

  • Copy of or an Internet link to a published industry-related article (with your name in byline) from the last six months
  • Copy of publication masthead listing you as an editorial contributor
  • A current photo press ID from an official media outlet

3.    When will I receive my badge?

 

If you are from the United States, Canada or Mexico and you register by May 22, you will receive your registration credentials by mail. If you are from any other country you must register by May 18 in order to receive your registration credentials by mail.  If you register after the above dates you may pick your registration credentials up onsite.


4.    How do I book a hotel?

Online registration is currently available.

Please note that Ambassadors is the official SUPERCOMM 2009 hotel agent.  Any other organization soliciting hotel rooms for SUPERCOMM 2009 is not backed by SUPERCOMM 2009, and rooms cannot be guaranteed.  Please book through Ambassadors to ensure that you have a guaranteed hotel room reservation for SUPERCOMM 2009.

5.    Where is the Media Center and Lounge located?

The Media Center and Lounge will be located on Level 3 of the West Building, McCormick Place at the entrance to the main exhibit floor.

6.    How can I locate all press releases distributed during the show?

Business Wire is the official news release distribution service for SUPERCOMM, providing media, analysts and anyone with an interest in this event worldwide with 24/7 access to exhibitor news releases, multimedia and online media kits. This is facilitated through our exhibitor news archive which is located within the “media center” area of the official SUPERCOMM show website.

8.    What are the hours of the Media Center?

SUPERCOMM 2009 Media Center Hours*:
Monday, June 8, 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, June 9, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, June 10, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, June 11, 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
*Hours are subject to change.

Note: Only credentialed press and analysts are permitted in the Media Center and Lounge. We make exceptions for PR professionals who are accompanied by a member of the press for an interview only.

9.    What amenities are available in the Media Center?

The SUPERCOMM 2009 Media Center and Lounge is the only dedicated location where press and analyst attendees can write stories, eat breakfast and lunch, interview an exhibitor or simply relax for a brief moment.
Amenities available to you include:

  • Free wireless Internet access
  • Desktop computer stations
  • Laptop computer stations
  • Catering – breakfast, lunch and snacks available in the press room
  • Briefing rooms/interview space
  • Printing & copy equipment
  • Online access to exhibitor press releases and press kits
  • Event photos
  • Concierge services

10.    Will there be food and beverages available in the Media Center?

Breakfast, lunch and mid-day snacks will be provided in the Media Center Lounge each day of the show.

11.    Is there space available to hold a meeting?

Interview rooms are available for up to three hours per day and are located in the Media Center. On-site, rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

12.    Can I access all SUPERCOMM programming with my press badge?

Yes, you can access all programming with a press badge.

13.    Is there a schedule of press conferences and special events?

You can obtain a copy of the press conference schedule by emailing LaTanya Davis at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it (after April 1). The schedule will also be posted in the Media Center, as well as other special events of which we are informed.
