U.S. Commercial
Service's International Buyer Program (IBP)
SUPE
RCOMM 2009 has been selected to participate in the U.S. Commercial Service's International Buyer Program (IBP), which recognizes the event's worldwide importance in the telecommunications industry. The IBP is a joint government-industry effort designed to stimulate U.S. exports by promoting major U.S. industry exhibitions to international markets. The IBP helps increase exports by increasing the number of international buyers visiting major U.S. trade exhibitions, providing U.S. firms likely to export with practical help and advice and providing international buyers with opportunities to visit the United States and meet with prospective U.S. trading partners.
Exclusive benefits for international attendee buyers.
- The International Trade Center (ITC), exclusively for the use of our international buyers.
- U.S. Department of Commerce assistance in finding U.S. suppliers.
- Interpreters (in the ITC only).
- Transportation between official hotels and McCormick Place.
- Join an official delegation and save the registration fee.
Official Delegations
Enhance your SUPERCOMM 2009 experience by joining a delegation led by U.S. Department of Commerce staff posted in your country. Take advantage of the U.S. Commercial staff expertise, who can help make the most of your time in Chicago. To find out more or to learn more about becoming part of a delegation, go to www.buyusa.gov/home/import.html, click on your country and then on the “Contact Us” link to request assistance.
Please wait to register after you investigate what your local U.S. Commercial Service Office has to offer. Attendees who plan to be part of official U.S. Department of Commerce buyer delegations, however, should see their local U.S. Commercial Service Office BEFORE registering to find out if they qualify. Attendees who become official delegates are given a special code to use that overrides payment on the registration form. Register for SUPERCOMM as soon as registration opens—it may take 90 days or longer to secure a visa. Exhibitor Export Interest Directory
The interactive version of the Exhibitor Export Interest Directory allows viewers to find exhibiting companies interested in exporting their products or services. You can match your interests and theirs by using any (or all) of three criteria to find companies that fit your needs: geographic location, language and business objective. The SUPERCOMM 2009 Show Directory provides a static list of these companies as well.
Onsite check-in
All international attendees must use the International Trade Center for registration/check-in. Only Canadian and Mexican nationals may use either the general registration area or the International Trade Center’s registration facilities. All international attendees, visa-waiver attendees included, must show a passport when they check in. NO EXCEPTIONS. You must have a passport to check in or you will not be allowed to access the exhibit floor or attend any conference sessions. You are also required to carry photo ID every day you are at the show. A photocopy of the identification page(s) of your passport may be used on days subsequent to check-in. However, a passport must be shown at check-in. (Canadian and Mexican guests may show a government-issued photo ID in lieu of a passport.)
It's not about "maybe we can try this." At SUPERCOMM 2009, you'll hear a lot of "this is how we're doing it."
“We saw our customers here, enhanced our relationships. Met new customers, too.”
